Stamford
Serving the Children of the World

What is a Stamford Kiwanian?

We are young, middle aged and retired. We are men and women. We are professionals, educators, parents, managers, team members. We hail from all walks of life. We are volunteers working together and giving our best to change the world, one child and one community at a time.

We are part of an international organization that is 250,000 strong and growing!

Look in the mirror, a Kiwanian may very well be staring back at you!

The Kiwanis Club of Stamford continually seeks to add new, quality members to its roster. While many service clubs are in a decline, the Kiwanis Club of Stamford has seen its membership grow over 50% in the past 12 months.

In addition to enhanced opportunities to serve your community, membership in the Kiwanis Club of Stamford unites you with people of like interests, provides access to diverse volunteer projects and activities, helps you achieve personal community service goals, creates an association with a world wide service organization, and provides a monthly magazine that will keep you informed of Kiwanis service activities throughout the world. Membership may also provide important business and professional contacts.

Kiwanis Club of Stamford members are encouraged to attend our weekly lunch meetings (Wednesdays from 12:15 - 1:30PM) whenever they can and to participate as a member of at least one of our service committees. Our weekly lunch meetings feature engaging speakers from our community and beyond. Recent speakers have included such distinguished guests as Lt. Gov. Michael Fedele and NY Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman.

While there are no specific expectations for attendance we encourage members to attend at least one lunch per month. In addition, there are a variety of alternative activities, for example participating in a service project, which are credited as attendance.

We invite anybody interested in becoming a member to join us at lunch to get to know the Club better as they consider joining our ranks.

Club dues are $150 for the club's membership year (10/1 - 9/30) and are pro-rated on a quarterly basis. Additionally, new members are assessed a one-time initiation fee of $56.

If you are interested in membership in the club please email the Club President, Chris Tasik.
