Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of Stamford!
Serving Stamford since 1917

Thanks for stopping by to learn more about the Kiwanis Club of Stamford. Our website is an on-going project, please bear with us. The Kiwanis Club is on the move; we invite you to check us out online and in person and consider becoming a Kiwanian.  Our Club is  diverse with members who possess a wide variety of skills and talents. While we welcome all new members who have the desire to serve our community, we have a specific need for a new member who has web experience and a new member with public relations experience.

Club Announces Monthly Evening Meetings
In Response to the 100 by 100 Challenge

In his speech to the Annual Club banquet dinner, Christopher Tasik, outgoing Club President, challenged the Club to grow by launching the 100 by 100 Campaign. Mr. Tasik told the Club, “Having completed several major service projects over the past two years including the renovations of the kitchen and library at the Boys and Girls Club, the distribution of over 1500 copies of Little Hoot to the kindergarteners and investing over $65,000 in our community, we are the place to be for community service in Stamford.” As the Club enters its 95th year of service this year, we have 5 years to double our membership to meet this goal.

In support of the 100 by 100 Campaign the Club is starting a 6:30pm evening meeting on the third Wednesday of each month at the Sheraton (formerly the Holiday Inn) instead of our weekly lunch meeting. This is a great opportunity for folks who work out of town or who cannot attend lunch meetings to get involved in the Club and serve Stamford's youth.

Please contact us via the "Contact Us" page to learn more about Kiwanis and to attend the dinner!

Little Hoot Book Given to all Kindergarten Students
Club Supports Salvation Army Backpack Project
In support of our work to get kids reading, the Club is giving every kindergarten student entering the Stamford Public Schools a copy of the book Little Hoot. On Friday, September 16th, we proudly delivered well over 1500 books to all the elementary schools in Stamford. On Tuesday, September 20th the elementary schools will be doing a project based on Little Hoot, including a special event open to the press at KT Murphy.

We are very grateful to the local media for its coverage of this project.
